Recording with "Samsung Voice Recorder"
Using the Samsung Voice Recorder
Record Your Voice on the Samsung App
Before you start:
On your playback device, be sure the demo track is queued up and you have your headphones on.
Have your music laid out where turning the pages will not cause noise.
Place your recording phone 9 to 12 inches from your mouth, but, if possible do not hold in your hand.
Open the app by tapping on its icon
When you are ready to sing, tap the RED record button near the bottom of the screen
THEN turn on your playback music. A LONG, empty lead-in is fine (don't worry about that!)
Sing your song. Click the SQUARE button (stop) on the right side of the controls.
The screen will prompt you to rename the take.
Tap "Save" to store the take, or "Cancel" if you don't want to keep it.
If you CANCEL, the recording is STILL ON YOUR SCREEN. Tap the back-arrow (at the top-left of the screen) and select "Discard" to remove the take and start fresh.
How to send a file:
After recording a great take, save the file with any name you want. It will be saved in a list of files.
Tap on the link "LIST" at the top-right of the screen. All your recordings display, with the most recent at the top.
I recommend deleting any unneeded takes, to save memory and reduce confusion. Use steps 3-4 but select "Delete" instead.
Click on the saved file and tab the arrow icon to begin playback. You will see the recording is 'selected' as its title is red.
Stop the playback and then tap the 3-dots icon at the top-right corner. A menu appears.
Select the SHARE option. Several ways to share appear. Choose the icon for the email system you use on your phone.
It should (a) open your email app, and (b) create an email with the recorded clip already attached.
When the email opens, enter the name of the person you are sending it to and then tap to SEND.
